Simple Desserts
I often have fruit and nuts topped with plain, nonfat, Greek yogurt (Chobani or Trader Joe's) for a snack or dessert; I love fruit and at the yogurt helps me reach my daily recommended calcium level (25% of daily value in each cup!). But sometimes I want something sweeter and there is no dark chocolate in the house:) One of my favorites is yogurt, banana, and roasted almonds; here are a couple of variations on a theme that help satisfy my sweet tooth.
Strawberries and yogurt sprinkled lightly with maple syrup and black sesame seeds. Easy on the syrup - high sugar content.
Same as above but with wheat germ and pecans!
