Driving north along I-25 from Albuquerque to Pueblo this morning provided picturesque views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. These beautiful mountains are first visible in New Mexico as one drives north along I-25; the changing views as one drives north make the long drive pass relatively quickly (of course the 75mph speed limit doesn't hurt:).
I finished my Airstream business earlier than anticipated today so was able to hit the road by 10am; about 5 hours later my back was telling me to stop so I checked into a hotel in Pueblo, CO.
Gusty winds finally caught up with me today but no worries since I'm no longer towing the Airstream. So fortunate to miss strong winds on my drive from Tucson to Albuquerque! With a head wind my GMC 2500HD averaged 19mpg on today's drive from ABQ to Pueblo; not bad for a big truck; about 5-6mpg better than when towing.
I'm excited about being back in Colorado and look forward to seeing my sister tomorrow in Denver; I'll be staying with her while in Colorado. Also plan to see my daughter of course but don't know when. Also looking forward to seeing friends and getting in some exercise and swimming! Not looking forward to consolidating storage units and packing for the move east:(
