Lincoln City, OR

Back on the Oregon coast this week escaping the inland heat:) Temps in the 60s this week; fog typical in the mornings. Lincoln City is a coastal tourist town along Hwy. 101. I'm staying at the Premier RV Resort; same company that owns the Salem resort I stayed in last week; however, like a lot of things near the beach, real estate is expensive so the resort campsites are close together and the resort is smallish.

Yesterday, on my walk back from the grocery store, I stumbled across an Indian restaurant. It wasn't dinner time so I just had a Kingfisher and appetizers - mixed veggie pakora (fried in chickpea batter), and roti paratha - pretty good!

This morning I ran along the beach - wonderful feeling! Found a local baker so stopped to sample; the owner/baker said she bakes every day and it tasted like it - very fresh! Marionberry is a hybrid I wasn't familiar with so had to sample a marionberry turnover - delicious! Also had a peanut butter chocolate bar topped with almonds and pistachios - wow!

The beach!

The xeriscape landscaping in this front yard was a mixture of sand and beautiful plants.

The fog prevented much of a view this morning.

Not sure what this plant is; along stairs to beach.

Local bakery

Baker said the locals love turnovers.

Marionberry turnover - delicious!

Local Indian restaurant - Flavor of India.

Not much of a beer drinker but I do like Kingfisher with Indian food.

Low tide

Beachcombers out for a morning stroll.

Taft is a local Historic District.
