Sisters to Eugene

Left my campsite near Sisters Oregon yesterday morning to drive to Eugene. Sisters is a nice little (2000 people) tourist town surrounded by beautiful ponderosa pine trees and Three Sisters Mountains. I'd been there before for a conference of western PUCs and to climb, and it was very crowded, so I didn't stick around this time.

The tree-lined drive to Eugene is a two-lane road (Hwy 20/126). Don't think I've ever seen as many properties for sale is such a small area; is it the road noise that is causing them to sell?

Checked into the Deerwood RV Park on the outskirts of Eugene, hooked up my AS, and still had time to visit the local farmers market in Springfield, OR. Nice little FM with fresh produce, crafts, and a baker! Bought a wonderful whole wheat baguette sprinkled with sesame seeds from New Day Bakery (http://newdaybakery.net) Also bought an oat and raison scone; tasted a bit dry at first but actually quite tasty and the vendor assured me very healthy:)

The RV Park is fine; my site is in the back next to the trees and away from the road. Its on the outskirts of Eugene so a bit isolated and hence no place to run/hike.
The Springfield Farmers Market is located in an old church.

Walking around Springfield, I came across this beautifully landscaped home and garden
