Greenhouse farming

I've never seen so many greenhouses as in Korea. Evidently, greenhouses are used to not only extend the growing season but in some areas, to grow vegetables year/round.
I read 70 percent of Korea is mountainous so it makes sense when one sees every available flat acre in agricultural production; either rice or greenhouses. Topography also explains the seemingly endless number of high rise buildings.
