Seoul

To me, Seoul is similar to other big cities; lots of things to see and do, lots of people who don't make eye contact, constant noise, and poor air quality. After a morning swim, I went for a brief walk in nearby Seoripul Park; air pollution caused me to keep walk short.  I then went grocery shopping in this huge department store called - Shinsegae. Like a lot of big cities, prices are high:
Apples - $3.50 each
Milk - $4.11 for 750ml
Bananas - $0.80 each

This was a high end grocery store with attendants that wrapped the produce and other foods for you; must have been at least 50 attendants trying to sell items in their departments. Everything is packaged in plastic; funny, they charge 4 cents for each bag to bag your groceries but they insist on packaging all produce in individual bags or containers for "free"; not sure I understand what the goal is.
