Book Review - Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne

Mountain camping is a great opportunity to read; the slow, quiet days and cool mountain breeze are almost as good as reading on the beach:)

Although I knew the story, I don't think I'd ever read the Scarlet Letter. The old English writing was a bit tedious at times but overall a good book. Thankful I didn't live in New England 400 years ago when the Puritans were there; I would surely have found myself shamed on the scaffold like Hester did. Organized religions are still scary to me; reading history will do that:)
