Drove (via Hwy. 30/287/487) about 2.5 hours north of Laramie to Casper, WY today. Staying at the Fort Casper Campground on the west side of Casper; full hookups and a nice location next to the North Platte River. Sites are too close together and there are no shade trees but no worries as I'm just staying overnight.
Enjoyed wonderful ice cream at Cold Stone with a friend (Linda) and her husband Ron; great day for it as temps were in the high 80's. It was great to catch up and the ice cream really hit the spot; had the Founders Favorite in a waffle cup!
