Swimming "Mile"stone
Swam 34 laps of a 50 meter pool today in 56 minutes; this is my longest non-stop swim ever; all freestyle with push under turns (instead of flip turns). 50m equates to 5,577' or about 1.05 mile. One mile is about 1610 meters or a bit over 32 laps; I couldn't remember how many laps equaled a mile in this metric pool so I kept swimming until I was sure:) It felt good and I think the banana/almond butter sandwich (with my homemade whole wheat bread with pecans and raisons) 2 hours prior to swimming helped a lot. I feel good about accomplishing this milestone; it wasn't long ago that I could barely swim a lap without gasping for breadth:)
